Tucker & Jack

Please let me introduce to you my two adorable puppies Jack (Miniature Schnauzer) and Tucker (Lhasa Apso Mix), They are both two very fortunate rescues that we are so lucky to have now. As you can see both pups LOVE dressing up and are always up for an adventure! The funny/scary story about Tucker includes exactly how much of a nut he truly is, but we still love him! When we arrived at the Waterbury pound at 7am to pick him up, we had brought along a leash and collar that we thought would suit his size, although it was a bit large it would serve it's purpose. We immediately began driving to Petsmart (in Waterbury) to pick up a flea bath and new collar and leash, since all were desperately needed. On our way we had the windows down and our new bundle of matted hair was comfortably sitting on my lap looking out the window. All of a sudden, while driving about 20mph, he launched himself out the window FOR NO REASON. My quick reflexes yanked the leash and dog back into the car and onto the floor. Everyone was fine, just a bit shaken up, and never again has Tucker tried to jump out of a moving vehicle. Who knows what possessed him, but it inspired some interesting potential names, including Flipper, Flippy, Jumper, Crash, Crazy, as well as many others, but we ended up choosing Tucker when we realized he gets tuckered out and rejuvenates by sprawling on his stomach with his back legs stretched out flat behind him. Tucker and his brother Jack now live a fabulous life with over three acres to roam and will forever be my little boys!!
