May is time for Ladyslippers!

Each year we have Ladyslippers pop up in a small wooded area in our backyard. Some years we've has as many as 22 blossoms, this year, so far, we have 15 and hoping to see more soon.

Being our state flower, and seemingly rare to find, we are very protective of them, so only a few family and friends know their location. But we did want to share a picture with others to enjoy before they pass by.

I am very glad to see these. We don't have as many as you. But we also treasure and protect our rare beauties. Thank you for sharing the photo.
