Sea Gull Weather Folklore

By Brandon Butcher

Animals (especially birds) are more succeptible to changes in air pressure than humans. As a result, some get more squawky and fidgety with an advancing change in pressure (most often a storm arrival). Others, like sea gulls, who are used to nasty weather, will roost during these times. Often before large storms, large numbers of birds like the Sea Gull will 'sit it out'.
