No charges to be filed in Carrboro pedestrian-involved crash

CARRBORO, N.C. -

Police say no charges will be filed in a pedestrian-involved crash Thursday night in Carrboro.

The Carrboro Police Department completed its investigation Friday into a crash involving a pedestrian on Thursday around 11:20 p.m. on Jones Ferry Road near its intersection with Davie Road.

The pedestrian who was hit was transported to UNC Hospitals after suffering what appeared to be life threatening injuries.

The patient's condition is unknown and his identity is not being released at this time, police said.

Police said, based on the investigation, the driver in the crash will not be charged.
