Hundreds of families traveled to Springfield on Friday to move their incoming freshman students into their residence hall. Peer advisors were stationed at all ten dorms to make sure the move goes as smoothly as possible.
"We've been planning for weeks, things are going great so far," said David Whittle, peer advisor.
The Pollard family traveled from Connecticut to drop off their youngest son at school. Colleen Pollard said the toughest part of the move in won't be lugging stuff up the stairs. It will be saying goodbye.
"It's been so easy, it's been smooth, but when my teas fall I know he will be in good hands," said Pollard.
