NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police said a man who shot an employee and stole a car at a Nashville used car lot Tuesday is still on the run.

The suspect allegedly rode up to the Jordan Auto Sales lot on Clarksville Pike on his bicycle shortly before 11 a.m. and pretended to be interested in buying a car.

The suspect then told car salesman Dewayne Brazeale, 50, that he needed to get some money from some friends.

Once inside, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Brazeale in the chest. He then stole a white 2006 Dodge Charger with a red dealer license plate and took off.

Brazeale was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he is being treated for a non-critical gunshot wound.

The suspect is described as a black man who wore all black clothing and shoes. He has a fade haircut.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME, sending a tip by texting the word "CASH" along with their message to 274637 or online at nashvillecrimestoppers.com.
