DEERFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

Deerfield police arrested a man for drunken driving after he caused an accident that led to a fire early Friday morning.

His car caught on fire on Lee Road around 1:30 a.m. following the crash.

Police said the vehicle left the roadway and struck a parked car on the lawn. Investigators determined the car was traveling at a greater than reasonable speed.

A breathalyzer test also determined the driver had a blood alcohol level of 0.19, which is more than twice the legal limit.

Firefighters from the South Deerfield Fire Department extinguished the fire.

No one was injured in the accident.

The driver will be arraigning in Greenfield District Court on Friday.
