HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - At 11 pm the center of post-tropical cyclone Iselle was located about 150 miles southwest of Lihue.  The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the west near 14 mph and this motion is expected to continue for the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours. The post-tropical remnant low is expected to weaken to a trough by Monday night.

The Tropical Storm Warning has been discontinued for all islands.

Forecasters say, "The shear is expected to increase along the west-northwesterly track of the cyclone in response to a digging upper trough over the northwest hawaiian islands this weekend. This should inhibit redevelopment of persistent deep convection and allow the system to continue to spin down."

Periods of heavy rainfall are possible. Soils are saturated, and any additional rainfall will lead to flash flooding. A Flash Flood Watch continues for Oahu and Kauai County until noon Saturday.
