BOSTON (WSHM) -

There's good news on the job front in Massachusetts, as the unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level in nearly six years.

According to the Office of Labor and Workforce Development, the jobless rate stood at 5.5 percent in June.

That's the lowest monthly rate since August of 2008.

The Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that Massachusetts gained 3,700 jobs last month.
