HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - The two Republican candidates for Connecticut governor are facing off in a primary debate.
Greenwich businessman Tom Foley, the party's endorsed candidate, and Senate Minority Leader John McKinney of Fairfield are scheduled to meet Thursday at the Hartford Courant's offices. The event is sponsored by the newspaper and FoxCT. While not open to the general public, the event will be live-streamed on www.courant.com and www.foxct.com .
It will also be broadcast on Sunday July 20 at 10 a.m. on Fox CT's "Political Power Hour."
The two candidates are competing in the Aug. 12 primary. The winner will face Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy in the November general election.
