One week after crews searched for a woman in the Deerfield River, they were back out near the water Sunday evening.
First responders were called to area of the Stillwater Bridge around 6:30 p.m. after a man slipped and fell about 30 feet into the river.
Deerfield Police Department Sgt. Harry Ruddock told CBS 3 that a 22-year-old man from Fitchburg was on the rocks near the bridge.
Others in the area got him out of the water, but he needed to be extricated and taken to the hospital.
Ruddock said the man suffered not life-threatening injuries to his upper torso and head.
