A baby was riding in a vehicle that was involved in a two-car accident Wednesday morning and was subsequently treated by emergency personnel.
Springfield firefighters responded to the accident near the Interstate 291 onramp at the Liberty Street rotary at about 11:50 a.m., according to Executive Aide to the Fire Commissioner Dennis G. Leger.
Emergency crews were forced to extricate one passenger that was sitting in the front passenger seat of a white Subaru station wagon that was involved in the accident, Ledger said.
The accident resulted in several non-life-threatening injuries.
