According to Curtis Davenport with the Greene County Rescue Squad, crews were called out at around 5:30 pm to Highway 135 South of Paragould by someone inside the grain bin. "We were notified by phone about 10 minutes before we were paged out. We were in route before the actual call came in to 911."
Davenport said the bin was 14 feet high and crews had to cut into the bin to slowly release some of the grain without pulling the farmer in deeper.
The man was taken to AMMC in Paragould as a precaution.
