Five men were arrested after an East Springfield Dunkin' Donuts was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.
The armed robbery was reported just after 2 a.m. at the donut shop located at 649 Page Blvd.
The suspects fled in a gold vehicle, which police later stopped. Officers recovered one gun and one pellet gun from inside the vehicle, according to Springfield police Officer Thomas Trites.
Springfield police arrested Kenneth Walker, 22, and Parrish Wilson, 21, of Springfield, and charged them with of armed robbery while masked, armed assault with intent to rob and carrying a firearm without a license, Springfield police said.
L'Various Jones, 20, Deandre Ballard, 19, and David Lewis Jr., 20, were also arrested and charged with armed robbery while masked, possession of ammunition without an FID card, armed assault with intent to rob and carrying a firearm without a license, according to Springfield police officials.
The suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in Springfield District Court Wednesday.
