SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

The arson and bomb squad has determined that two van fires on the same street within 90 minutes of each other overnight were set intentionally.

Dennis Leger, aide to fire Commissioner Joseph Conant, told CBS 3 that a van was destroyed in each incident on Oak Grove Avenue.

The first call came in around 11:15 p.m. and the second call was shortly before 1 a.m.

Leger said both vans had windows destroyed by bricks before they were set on fire.

Investigators said the two fires are connected.

Anyone with information about the fires and vandalism is asked to contact the arson and bomb squad.
