A downtown Las Vegas gaming property became the first casino in the world to offer an ATM for bitcoins.
The D Las Vegas Casino Hotel unveiled the teller machines dedicated to the virtual currency on Thursday.
The casino property anchored at the Fremont Street Experience already allows customers to purchase meals, items inside its gift shop and rooms with bitcoins. The currency, though, is not allowed for gaming.
The D touted the freestanding kiosks are equipped with user-friendly software and bank-grade hardware and security.
The ATM also allows customers to deposit cash into their bitcoin wallets and exchange bitcoin for dollars, according to the property.
The D's sister casino, Golden Gate, also accepts bitcoin as payment for food, drinks and rooms.
