The AAA arrive alive tour came to Chicopee on Monday to teach students how dangerous distracted driving can be.
AAA driving school is sponsoring a distracted driving education program for area teenagers to educate them on the dangers of texting and driving.
Students at Chicopee Comprehensive High School used a simulator to see the potential consequences of distracted driving.
The high schoolers were told to send a text on their phone while pretending to drive a battery-operated car.
The virtual steering showed them how easy it can be to hurt yourself and other drivers while driving distracted.
