SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

There is an exotic new member of the Forest Park family.

Albus, a 4-month-old hybrid tiger, will be spending the season warming the hearts of visitors at the Forest Park Zoo.

"We're very excited to have Albus as a temporary part of our family," board president Christian Gainer said. "He's sure to bring a lot of excitement and smiles to the zoo this year."

Albus will be one of the main features at the Baby Days event Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Forest Park Zoo and Education Center is a nonprofit organization run by the Forest Park Zoological Society.

Situated in Forest Park, a 735-acre wooded park in Springfield, the zoo features indigenous and exotic animals representing a large variety of species found throughout the world and in North America.
