Traffic on Capital Boulevard was slowed Thursday afternoon by a crash near 540, which took out two lanes of traffic. The accident was cleared by 7 p.m.
The accident continued a tough day of traffic around the Capital City. Earlier Thursday, traffic on Wade Avenue in Raleigh between Ridge Road and the Beltline was diverted because of downed power lines.
Raleigh Police said a utility pole adjacent to Wade Avenue failed, meaning downed lines and debris cluttered all lanes of Wade Avenue in the area.
