Man charged with murder in shooting of Raleigh man

RALEIGH, N.C. -
Raleigh Police arrested Jerome Harris on Friday and charged him murder in the case of a man found dead of a gunshot wound Thursday afternoon in an apartment.
Officers were called to 4549 Hargrove Road around 5 p.m. to assist EMS personnel with an unconscious male, police said.
Corey Lamont Jackson, 35, was found inside of an apartment and transported to WakeMed where he was later pronounced dead.
Harris, 37, has been transported to the Wake County Detention Center, police said. The Raleigh Police said Harris and Jackson knew each other before Thursday and the incident was not a random act.
