Greenfield police made an arrest Wednesday after a woman was robbed at knife point during the early morning hours.
Jacque Coleman, 25, allegedly jumped out of the bushes near the Rite Aid on Main Street and placed what is believed to be a knife next a woman's throat while she walked near Greenfield Community College, according to Greenfield police.
Coleman demanded she turn over her wallet, and after a brief struggle the victim was thrown to the ground. That is when Coleman stole her wallet and cigarettes, police said.
Coleman was found a short time later after the victim described his appearance to detectives.
Police also found heroin on him, according to an arrest report.
The victim had superficial injuries on her neck, but refused transportation to the hospital.
Coleman, of 60 Wells St. Greenfield, was charged with possession of heroin, armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery, police said.
