An alleged "high-level" drug dealer was taken off the streets Friday night after an extensive investigation by Springfield Police.
Police tell CBS 3 at around 8:30 p.m. Friday a team of detectives raided the home of Angel Orengo on Mill Street.
Police say they found 1,000 bags of Heroin, $107,000 in cash, seven grams of pure uncut heroin, packaging material, scales and drug paraphernalia.
According to police, the heroin confiscated has a street value of $15,000.
Orengo now faces multiple drug and weapons charges.
Police say he was distributing to drug dealers across Western Massachusetts.
"Commissioner William Fitchet and incoming Commissioner John Barbieri were notified of the raid. They both stated that they are proud of the work that is taking place by their department in the war on heroin," said Sgt. John Delaney with the Springfield Police Department.
