(RNN) - A plane carrying 149 passengers was evacuated at the Philadelphia International Airport Thursday after a nose gear collapse.

Two people, one with what police described as a minor illness and another with a minor injury, were transported to an area hospital.

The nose gear on US Airways Flight 1702 buckled when the plane attempted to land after the pilot aborted takeoff.

Photos from passengers show the crippled plane on the tarmac.

Flight 1702 was headed to Fort Lauderdale, FL. US Airways is arranging a new aircraft to get everyone to their scheduled destination.

The FAA issued a ground stop. Fire Chief Gary Loesch estimates the airport was totally shut down to traffic for approximately 35 minutes.
