HOLYOKE, MA (WSHM) -

A city-owned car that is issued to Mayor Alex Morse was involved in a drunken driving arrest just after midnight on Saturday.

Morse said he was attending an event in Northampton with his cousin, Nick Duclos.

Morse said Duclos took his keys without telling him and left the event.

Duclos was later pulled over by Northampton police and charged with operating under the influence, as well as other charges.

In a statement regarding the incident, Morse said he feels betrayed by his cousin.

He added that he's being fully transparent with the issue, adding, "I am fully cooperating with the Northampton Police Department and have asked that all appropriate charges be filed."
