BROOK PARK, OH (WOIO) -

The Ford F-150 Aluminum pickup is expected to take the Cleveland Auto Show by storm.

It promises to be a lighter weight truck, dropping 500 to 700 pounds. That adds up to fuel savings and experts are saying it could get 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

"It's tough, it's rough and for Northeast Ohio it's going to be the perfect truck to drive," says United Auto Workers Local 1250 President Mike Gammella.

It's perfect right now because the 3.5 liter Ecoboost engine is made at Ford's Brook Park plant.

Gammella says the future looks even brighter for more jobs.

"As far as the 2.0 and the 2.3-four cylinder engine, we'll be putting our engine in almost every single vehicle Ford makes, and that's a great thing for Northeast Ohio," Gammella said.

Gammella is also saying that means at least 800 new jobs by the end of this year, driving the economy up, good news during tough times.
