It's just shy of 90 degrees and sunny, here in Cleveland, a few weeks before spring.
"The first thing I noticed was the warmth. I thought, 'oh, that feels good," says Lillian Gathers of Parma.
"I was here a few weeks ago, and there was a couple sitting here, and they said we are pretending we are in Hawaii," adds Erma Shea of Euclid.
You could pretend you are sitting in the middle of the park having a picnic like Bonita Roberts, but you're really at the Rockefeller Park Greenhouse on East 88th.
"At least once a year we come up here, bring a little lunch, enjoy the warmth and the good Cleveland food," says Roberts.
In fact, we found Calvin and Cathy Kopp have had the same tradition for ten years now. It's been longer for Calvin. He's been coming here every February for 40 years.
"It's gonna start getting warmer, so you get your head wrapped around it's going to be green again someday," says Calvin Kopp of Burbank, Ohio.
"A reminder there really is spring! Really? You promise? There has to be one. There has to be one," says Cathy Kopp.
The spring flowers are in bloom here. You can smell it. You can feel it. And suddenly for everyone here, the winter blues seem to melt away.
"Every time I look out the window there is more snow or the temperature is below zero, so it's starting to get old. I'm ready for spring!" says Gathers.
