A Pine Belt registered nurse has been arrested on depraved heart murder by the Attorney General's Office.
April Grissom, a 28-year-old from Petal turned herself in to investigators with the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit following her indictment by the Lamar County Grand Jury on second degree murder charges.
Grissom is accused of turning off the machines which were helping keep the alleged victim alive.
According to the indictment, Grissom worked as an R.N. at Wesley Medical Center where the 77 year old victim was receiving treatment.
If convicted, Grissom could face life in prison, she was booked into the Lamar county detention center on $10,000 bond.
