TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -
TODAY'S MOST...Bizarre arrest: A woman was arrested because she never returned a movie she rented...back in 2005.
27-year old Kayla Finley was charged with failure to return a rented video cassette. That's the actual charge. She rented Monster-in-Law starring Jennifer Lopez from a video store in Pickens, South Carolina that's no longer in business.
The store sent Finley several letters back in 2005 asking for the video back, and she never responded. Then the sheriff's department sent her a warrant, and she never responded to that either.
So now, nine years later, she was stopped for a traffic violation. When deputies checked her record they realized the charge, and made the arrest.
