Baystate Franklin Medical Center nurses voted unanimously Thursday night to ratify a new contract.
The tentative deal reached between their union and Baystate Health ends a 2 1/2 year struggle between the two sides - for now.
Some highlights include Baystate withdrawing a proposal to get rid of daily overtime, an increase in share of family health insurance from 70 percent to 75 and a 4-percent increase in pay in 2014 then an additional 1-percent raise for each year after.
The two sides reached the deal to avoid a planned one-day strike by the nurses last week.
