FORT LAUDERDAL, FL (WSVN/CNN) - It was a frightening day on the job for some construction workers in Florida, when their scaffolding came crashing down.
They were inspecting and cleaning a bridge over a river at the time.
One worker fell to the ground, and landed in a pile of broken scaffolding.
Three others were left dangling by safety lines - 60 to 70 feet in the air.
Rescuers used bucket trucks to get two of them down.
The third was dangling for more than an hour and a half.
A firefighter repelled down to get him.
The three workers who were dangling were taken to a hospital for observation and released.
The one who fell to the ground remains hospitalized, but that worker is expected to survive.
There's no word yet on what caused the collapse.
