A 20-year-old Burger King delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint while making a delivery to 567 Canon Circle in Springfield, police said.
Officers responded to the Burger King at 400 Cooley St., where the driver described the two suspects. One suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his early 20s, with a thin build. The other was described as a black male, with a stocky build, police said.
The Hispanic male reportedly possessed a silver handgun and robbed the driver of a small amount of cash, his cell phone and GPS device, police said. The robbers then fled into the projects of Canon Circle on foot.
The victim, who was not injured, also had his keys stolen. He was forced to walk back to the Burger King where he contacted police.
Burger King began delivering in February 2012. They currently deliver food in 14 states.
