While patrolling Interstate 91 in Hatfield, a state trooper stopped a Mazda 5 for motor vehicle violations, and a subsequent search of the car turned up more than 50 grams of cocaine, according to a Massachusetts State Police official.
Jorge Vicenty, 34, of Holyoke, was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a Class A substance, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, police said.
Police also found an undisclosed amount of heroin, according to the report. Vicenty was held on $10,000 bail pending his arraignment in Northampton District Court.
