Police find 200 grams of heroin during traffic stop

DARTMOUTH, MA (AP) -

A traffic stop in Dartmouth Tuesday led to the discovery of approximately 200 grams of heroin, according to a Massachusetts State Police official.

A trooper stopped an Audi A6 on Interstate 195 at about 11 a.m. Monday for motor vehicle violations. Police conducted a search during the traffic stop and found the drugs.

Ralph D'Agostino, 46, of East Wareham, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance, trafficking heroin, possession of a Class A substance, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

D'Agostino was held prior to his arraignment in New Bedford District Court Tuesday morning.
