While the New England Patriots tried to mount a comeback Sunday afternoon, Patriot fans made their way into local sports bars like JT's in Downtown.
Once the outcome looked certain, one Patriots fan told CBS 3 that it was impressive that New England was able to get this far with all they have had to deal with this season.
"I think they played surprisingly well, considering you had (Vince) Wilfork go down," said Joe Gandolfi. "You had [Joe] Vellano and a few other individuals come in and fill that gap. [Jerod] Mayo goes down and Dane Fletcher comes in and plays well. So, I think it's pretty surprising how far they've come."
There were a handful of Broncos fans in attendance on Sunday.
One, who was a Denver native, said that Peyton Manning has changed everything for the better.
"It's done a lot," said Charles Parker. "I think Peyton Manning really brought it to the team. I think [Tim] Tebow had it, but just wasn't well-developed. I think Peyton Manning is bringing what [John] Elway had initially. I think it's good."
The Seattle Seahawks won the NFC Championship Game on Sunday night and will now face Denver in Super Bowl 48.
That game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 2.
