Chicopee's new Mayor Richard Kos was honored at his inaugural ball Friday night.
Hundreds of Chicopee residents turned out to congratulate him.
He already officially took office and made headlines Thursday when he announced he wants the State Attorney General to investigate his predecessor Michael Bissonnette.
Kos accused Bissonnette of deleting important city documents.
Friday night Kos told CBS 3 he's focused on putting the city on the right track.
"We're very excited. It's clearly job development, it's clearly making sure our education and public safety are the best they can be and I'm looking forward to working with all the other leaders of the city to really make this city the best it can be," Kos said.
This is Kos's second time serving as mayor.
He originally served as mayor from 1997 to 2004.
