EASTHAMPTON, MA (WSHM) -

Flames erupted from an Easthampton home Wednesday night after someone failed to pay attention to what they were cooking, according to Easthampton Fire Chief David Mottor.

The 911 call came in just before midnight. When firefighters arrived to the blaze at 14 Lux Avenue, all occupants of the home were safely outside.

The fire was attacked quickly while Southampton, Northampton, and Westhampton fire departments assisted with the fire control. State Fire Marshals were called to investigate the fire.

The estimated damage to the home and property was $150,000.
