RALEIGH, N.C. -

The Wake School's superintendent is asking employees, parents and the public to share feedback on the school system as he prepares the 2014-15 budget.

Wake County Public School System Superintendent James Merrill is inviting employees, parents and the public to share their thoughts, concerns, and priorities for WCPSS in a series of five community input events entitled Superintendent's Direct Line.

"This is especially important at this time of year as we work on the budget and plans of action for the 2014-2015 school year," Merrill said.

The first hour-and-a-half of each event is reserved specifically for teachers and other WCPSS employees, while the last hour-and-a-half is open to parents and the public.

All events will be held in the school auditorium and begin at 4:30 p.m. Those who want to speak at the event can sign up in the lobby of the auditorium at 4:30 p.m. the day of the event.

  • Jan. 23 - East Wake High
  • Jan. 27 - Broughton High
  • Jan. 29 - Panther Creek High
  • Feb. 3 - Southeast Raleigh High
  • Feb. 17 - Wakefield High

Merrill said each speaker is allotted three minutes and can speak one time during the course of the five events.
