The victim was found lying in the roadway in the 7500 block of W. Glendale Avenue at around 8 p.m.
The identity of the man, who appeared to be in his 50s, has not yet been released, police said.
"Based upon where the male was located, we believe that the vehicle that struck him was traveling eastbound on Glendale Avenue," said Glendale Police Sgt. Jay O'Neill.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
O'Neill said neither speed nor impairment was involved.
As of 8:30 p.m., Glendale Avenue was closed in both directions from 73rd to 75th Avenues.
