PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Police say a drunken mom left her 1-year-old daughter to go drinking and her infant was found in a street in north Phoenix, barefoot and in a nightgown.

Phoenix police said Lyronda Tsosie, 25, left her daughter with an unknowing adult who was sleeping inside an apartment on 32nd Avenue.

Tsosie admitted to drinking prior to leaving the home and told police she wanted to go get some more drinks and have sex, according to the police report.

Tsosie's daughter was found about 2 a.m. Monday wandering the street after walking out the unlocked door. It was 46 degrees outside at the time.

Police said officers searched for several hours for the infant's parents.

When Tsosie returned to the area, she was extremely intoxicated and had a blood alcohol of .27. The legal limit is .08.

She was arrested on one count of child abuse.
