MGM has taken the next step in its proposed $800 million Springfield casino.
The company tells CBS 3 that it delivered its phase two application to the state gaming commission Monday morning.
MGM says they delivered two copies of the more than 7,000 page application to the commission.
The document requires applicants to provide detailed site specific plans, as well as an overview of the benefits Springfield and surrounding communities would see.
MGM is proposing the resort casino in Springfield's South End.
The commission decided they could move on in the process last week after an extensive background check.
They are the lone applicant remaining in the race for the Western Mass casino license.
