NORTH BROOKFIELD, MA (WSHM) -

An Amber Alert out of North Brookfield has been canceled after an almost 2-year-old boy and his father were found safe in Milford, CT.

North Brookfield police tell CBS 3 Springfield 21-month-old Thomas Woods is unharmed and is on his way to be reunited with his family.

State police say the boy's dad, 30-year-old Ryan Woods, didn't return from a visitation with Thomas earlier Tuesday evening. The boy was supposed to be brought back to his mother by 5 p.m. on Monday.

Ryan Woods walked into a Milford, CT, hospital looking for help.

He will be arraigned on charges Wednesday morning in Connecticut.

The boy has been taken to the hospital as a precaution and the father is in custody.
