RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) -

A new campaign uses a little Katy Perry, some VCU Basketball and Young House Love to spread cheer at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

The hospital teamed up with the basketball players to create a lip dub video to Perry's Roar with patients and staff.

Young House Love chipped in by decorating the family care center, giving it a full makeover, while the Rams players joined in on the music video posted on YouTube.

The hospital hopes to reach 1,200 acts of cheer by New Year's Eve by having the public post a six word message on their Facebook page using the #SpreadCheer hashtag. The public can also text HEALTH to 50555 to donate $10 to help out children at the hospital.
