Massachusetts commuters are waking up to a light covering of snow across much of the state.
Most parts of the state received anywhere from a dusting to about an inch. And although most major roads were treated with salt and sand, police are warning drivers to be careful on secondary roads when heading to work on Monday morning.
The light snow is expected to turn over to rain and freezing rain as the day progresses, as temperatures reach to about 40 degrees.
Several school districts in central and western Massachusetts announced delayed openings, with school closings at a minimum.
