For the fourth year in a row, the Basketball Hall of Fame hosted their Holiday Classic at the Mass Mutual Center.
A sold out crowd of 7,331 packed the arena Saturday afternoon, to watch the nationally-ranked University of Massachusetts men's basketball team square off with Brigham Young University.
It was an exciting atmosphere, especially as the Minutemen pulled ahead for the 105-96 victory.
John Doleva, president and CEO of the hall of fame, told CBS 3 that it is hard to find a better way to market his building.
"We have a great partnership with UMass," said Doleva. "I want to express my thanks to UMass. This is the kind of energy we like to see no matter what kind of basketball we have in this building. It's awesome today."
UMass improved to 8-0 on the season with the victory over BYU. The Minutemen were led by Chaz Williams, who posted 32 points.
UMass is off until next Saturday, Dec. 14, when they host Northern Illinois at the Mullins Center.
