A Pittsfield boy is fighting for his life in a Boston hospital after getting critically injured in a fire at his home.
Fire officials told CBS 3, the fire broke out at the family's Merriam Street home around 8 p.m. Wednesday night.
The 9-year-old suffered smoke inhalation before firefighters were able to pull him from the home's second floor.
A 23-year-old man was also transported to Berkshire Medical Center for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The blaze is believed to have started in the kitchen.
