TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

The biological father of the two youngest sisters who Tucson Police say were held captive in a midtown home says he hopes to see his daughters tomorrow.

The girls' mother, Sophia Richter, and stepfather, Fernando Richter, remain in jail on charges of child abuse and imprisonment of Sophia's 12-, 13- and 17-year-old daughters.

Police say the girls were kept in dungeon-like confinement at a home near Stone and Glenn before the two younger girls escaped last week and ran to a neighbor's house to call for help.

911 call transcripts show the girls asked repeatedly about finding their real father.

Tucson News Now has learned he spoke with his daughters by phone Monday.

The girls are reportedly in good spirits considering everything they've been through.

He said he "can't wait" to see the girls tomorrow, and that "there's lots of healing to be done."
