Funeral services planned for Chesterfield teen killed on Jessup Road

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Funeral services are now set for the teen driver killed when a car ran off the road and into a tree Monday morning in Chesterfield.

The crash occurred in the 5200 block of Jessup Road at about 7:30 a.m. Police say the driver, 18-year-old Auriel N. Shazer of Chesterfield, was killed and no one else was in the car.

Shazer graduated from Clover Hill High School in June, according to her obituary. She was enrolled at John Tyler Community College, with plans to transfer to Radford University in the spring of 2014.

A celebration of her life will be held noon Saturday at New Deliverance Evangelistic Church, located at 1701 Turner Rd.
