ERIE COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The Erie County Sheriff's Office has arrested 38-year-old Brian Jury, accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman Friday morning.
Chief Deputy Jared Oliver says Jury was arrested Friday afternoon in Lorain, OH. Jury is accused of kidnapping a 31-year-old woman at gunpoint in Lorain. Oliver says Jury took the woman to a camper on Strecker Road in Groton Township, where he sexually assaulted her.
Officials say Jury then left the woman naked and bound with tape and zip ties in the camper. The woman managed to make her way out of the camper, where she was seen by a civilian and an off-duty deputy. She was taken to the hospital for treatment, and officials say she shows no signs of serious physical injury.
Lorain Police found the vehicle the victim had described, but it was abandoned. Police later found Jury on a motorcycle carrying at least two weapons, including one firearm.
Erie County has charged Jury with one count of rape and one count of kidnapping. He also faces charges from Lorain County, and more charges could be filed.
