An Agawam man who's been battling the town to keep goats on his property has now been forced to give up the animals.

Alan Griffin was raising goats at this North Street home because he said his wife suffers from a medical condition and needs goat milk.

After disputing with the town for several years, Griffin was served a court order to have the goats removed.

He said his home is zoned as farmland and will continue to fight to bring them back home.

"You work hard for the things you have in your life. I bought those goats. Those were my animals. They weren't something the town bought. They weren't bothering nobody," said Griffin.

Griffin said his 10 goats were relocated to a farm in an undisclosed location.

He's been battling the town since 2006. He said he appreciates all the help he's been getting to bring the goats back.
