ASU stymied by Division I Alabama A&M

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

After winning four of their last six, the Albany State Lady Rams volleyball team stepped up to Division I competition when Alabama A&M visited the HPER Gym.

The Lady Rams jumped out to a first set victory, but the Lady Bulldogs seemingly had an answer for everything ASU threw at them.

A&M took the next three sets from the Rams to leave Albany with the victory.

It was "Spike Out Cancer" night at HPER Gymnasium. Several Rams players and Skinner were decked out in pink gear to support breast cancer awareness.

Albany State travels to Columbia, SC Friday to take on Benedict in conference play.
